Gogo Bar and Beer Bar Methods:
The 4 basic ways we do most of our investigations in Thai bar girl and bar-related cases. Which ones we use depends on you, your budget, and the standard of proof you are seeking. We can advise you which has the best chance of success, but it is your choice and we stop where you tell us to stop.
1) Remote Observation – Just want to know if your girl is going back to the bar against your wishes? Simple: one man with one camera nearby. Look like just another tourist and nobody notices. This is hardly James Bond stuff and one of fastest and cheapest operations.
2) Close Observation – We enter the bar under the guise of being just one more customer, blend in with the crowd and keep an eye out for your girl. You get our full report on how she handles herself, what she does, how she acts with other men and most importantly does she leave with anyone! With this method we avoid contact with your girl to the maximum extent possible.
(Note that with this method photos are not always possible. The fact is that without a flash even the best camera will be challenged to get a useful picture in most dark bars and gogos.)
3) Pretext Interview – One of the more devious methods and one that gets results. We’ll follow the close observation plan, but actually make contact with the girl. We’ll take the time to chat her up, buy her lady-drinks (as you specify – we respect your finances) and get her talking at length.
Will she admit to having a boyfriend (you, or someone else?), several boyfriends (some of them are proud little collectors!), and what else will she say? And we’ll “take her temperature”: that is, see if she’s willing to be bar-fined and what her price is for the night.
(Audio recording is sometimes an option, but not a good one in a loud place like a gogo bar.)
4) Entrapment – We follow the plan of #3 but take it to its logical conclusion. This method takes a little more time to prepare and costs more but provides proof beyond all doubt. Either we set up a classic sting with a prepared room, or assign a second agent to do the lens-work as the primary agent leaves the bar with your girl.
Don’t worry, we’re not going to sleep with your girlfriend! Our primary agent will get a pre-arranged “emergency call” and have to say goodnight, give the girl 500 baht for her trouble and send her back to the bar none the wiser to catch another customer.
If the girl is doing outcall massage, a second agent is not practical, but a secret video setup can be arranged in the hotel room.
Freelancer and Massage Parlour Methods:
More or less these are variations on the above.
In the case of a girl who works as a freelancer she’s not guaranteed to be in a given place at a given time, but most girls do fall into certain habits and make the rounds from this bar to that club in a predictable pattern. We intercept her on the circuit and put the operational plan into effect.
In the case of massage parlours we will NOT attempt a photo inside the building (Taking a beating is best left to fictional detectives!). We can catch the girl coming from or going to work, or we can ask for her for an outcall if required.
